IPA's for the second quarter (posted 11/22/11)

Individual Performance assessments will be held during the week of January 2-5. All wind students should prepare numbers 46 and 47 out of the Hal Leonard Intermediate Book. Key is Bb for both exercises and should be performed at a tempo of quarter note = 100. All students, including percussionists, should also prepare the Eb and Ab scales. Woodwind and percussion players should prepare the scales two octaves, brass players one octave. Percussionists should prepare page 27 of the Roy Burns book. Tempo is quarter note = 100.

Third quarter seating auditions (posted 11/22/11)

Seating auditions for the third quarter will be held January 30-February 2 during the sectional. All students will play the first part for their instrument to "Black Forest Overture". Percussionists will play the snare drum part. Tempo is quarter note=138, changes to 108 at m. 9, changes again to 138 at m. 21, changes to 84 at m. 48, and then back again to 138 at m. 62. Key is D minor.
